Connecting to Touro Secure Wireless Network

Using 802.1x with the Apple iPhone, iPod touch or iPad Secure Wi-Fi Access

  1. Select Wi-Fi and slide Wi-Fi to ON.
  2. Select Touro Student Secure or Touro Staff Secure.
  3. Enter your TouroOne Portal User Name (Log in with your TouroOne Portal credentials)
  4. Click Join.
  5. You may be prompted to accept a security certificate. If so, tap Accept.

Using Windows 10, Microsoft Surface Pro Tablets (802.1x) Secure Wi-Fi Access

  1. Click on the Wireless Internet icon located in the Windows Taskbar in the lower left corner of your.
  2. A list of available wireless networks will appear in the menu panel.
  3. Select the Touro Student Secure or Touro Staff Secure wireless network icon and click Connect.
  4. Enter your TouroOne Portal User Name and Password (Log in with your TouroOne Portal credentials). Click the OK button
  5. Select Connect in the Continue Connecting!

 

Using Mac-OS-X (802.1x) Secure Wi-Fi Access

  1. Make sure that the wireless card is turned on by clicking the AirPort icon on the menu and selecting the Turn AirPort On.
  2. A list of available wireless networks will appear in the menu panel.
  3. Select the Touro Student Secure or Touro Staff Secure wireless network icon and click Connect
  4. Enter your TouroOne Portal User Name and Password (Log in with your TouroOne Portal credentials). Click the OK button
  5. When you connect to the secure wireless network, you may see a certificate warning. If so click on Show Certificate or Click the Continue button.
  6. You may now be prompted to enter your Mac username and password (not your TouroOne Portal) to allow this trust to be saved. If so, do so and click OK.

 

Using Android for Secure Wi-Fi Access

  1. Click "Settings" then select "Wireless & Networks" and "Wi-Fi settings".
  2. If WI-Fi is not enabled, please enable it.
  3. A list of available wireless networks will appear in the menu panel.
  4. Select the Touro Student Secure or Touro Staff Secure wireless network icon and click Connect.
  5. You may now be asked for device security setting for your device.
  6. For "EAP method" select "PEAP".
  7. For "Phase 2 authentication" select "MSCHAPV2".
  8. For “CA Certificate" select "Do not validate" or select "Unspecified".
  9. For "Identity" Enter your TouroOne Portal User Name (Log in with your TouroOne Portal credentials).
  10. Some devices may have an "Anonymous identity" field. Leave this blank.
  11. For "Password" Enter TouroOne Portal password.
  12. Select "Connect".
