Forwarding Student Email to a personal Gmail Account

If you would like your incoming Touro student emails to automatically be forwarded to your personal Gmail account, follow the steps below:

  1. Once you are in your Touro Student Email, click the gear Settings, at the top right.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. Click Add a forwarding address in the “Forwarding” section.
  5. Enter your personal Gmail address (_________@gmail.com)
  6. You will then get a verification email from Gmail sent to your personal Gmail address. Go to that email account and open the confirmation message from the Gmail team. If you’re having trouble finding it, check your Spam folder.
  7. Click the verification link in that message.
  8. Back in your Touro Student Webmail, reload the page in your web browser - look for the reload icon Reload.
  9. On the same Forwarding and POP/IMAP page in Settings, check that Forward a copy of incoming mail is selected and that your personal Gmail is in the drop-down menu.
  10. In the second drop-down menu, choose what you want Gmail to do with your Touro account's incoming messages after they’re forwarded, such as keep a copy in your Touro gmail Inbox (recommended) or archive the Touro copy.
  11. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
